A native of Southern California, Dale Dreher has lived in over 17 cities surrounding the Greater Los Angeles area. After completing two years at a local community college, Dale transferred to the University of Southern California to study film. A year later, he took a semester off to get the world's best training in group-leadership and self-discipline via the United States Marine Corps. Dale excelled, rising to the position of platoon leader and 'Honor man' with 2 meritorious promotions within 6 months, not to mention jumping out of a C-130, C-141 and a Huey helicopter nine times.

At age 21, after one more semester at USC and after a position at the American Film Institute as an assistant librarian, he took a job in the offices of a Hollywood documentarian. At James Forsher Productions Dale managed the film archives, an extensive collection of historical Hollywood film footage used in James Forsher's producing of some of the industry's best documentaries on Old Hollywood.

Dale managed the videotape vault at CCR video, the company responsible for taping the hit TV show 'Family Ties'. He was training to be a Video Tape Operator. After 14 months there the writer's strike hit and Dale ventured into the world of free-lancing. He took a job as personal assistant to Dick Arlett, an accomplished development executive and distant location producer for most of Bob Hope's Holiday Specials. Dale assisted in the development of numerous William Morris TV specials that shot on location in the Bahamas, the Osmond Studios in Orem, Utah and Tahiti.

Needing to try his hand at creation, Dale spent over nine months as an art department coordinator for a very busy commercial and short subject art director. He learned set design, materials management, prop shopping, set dressing and painting. He practiced coordinating the money, materials and crew, often for three projects simultaneously. Dale has also art directed a music video and a cable show.

Working with such companies as Riverrun Films, Marlis-Seeff, HKM, O'Neil & Associates, O Pictures, Moxie Pictures, the Artists Company, etc., Dale was exposed to some of the industry's best production teams. Always looking at the bigger picture, he decided that his best long-range plan was to learn to produce. Before starting that journey, Dale spent seven days in LaFayette, Louisiana as a Nagra sound recordist on a 'Zydeco' music documentary for the BBC, and six months assistant editing and post supervising over 30 Ad/Sales promos for the Discovery Channel.

Since 1987, Dale has production-managed music videos for many top companies including DNA, Squeak Pictures, Silvey CO, Zeitgeist, 900 Frames, The End and the A&R Group. He has worked with numerous great directors including Dick Buckley, Marcus Raboy, Mark Lindquist, Frank Sacramento, David Dobkin, Nancy Bennett, Stephen Goldmann and Kevin Kerslake. Dale has worked closely with such established recording artists as Richard Marx, Pink Floyd, Dada, Joe Cocker, The Breeders, Sonic Youth, Steve Perry, Kathy Mattea, Primal Scream and more. Although now moving towards studio feature production, Dale chooses to keep one foot in the commercial production door where there are significantly more dollars to create the cutting edge technical FX that stretch the imagination. He is currently on the First Call lists of many top commercial and music video production executives. He has production managed spots for companies such as O Pictures, Shadowrock, The End, James Moore Productions, Artists CO, Carey Melcher Prods, Director's Alliance, etc.. Dale also production managed two one hour TV specials for FYI/Flattery-Yukich Productions; the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" TV premiere and the 'What's Love Got to Do with It' Live concert for Tina Turner.

Dale is continuously advancing his professional film & business knowledge by taking extension courses at UCLA, attending seminars and reading books on management and personal development. At age 36, he is an active member of Malibu Vineyard church and enjoys surfing and competing in marathons, triathlons and scuba diving in exotic locations. Dale's greatest passion is bringing 'order' out of chaos and 'leading' people to transcend their own perceived limitations.
